MEATBALLS

When JP was growing in my tummy, I craved strawberries and green olives (okay, and brownie batter blizzards from Dairy Queen in the final weeks!) Coincidentally, JP's favorite foods are "stwawberries" and "gween owhives". He could eat them all day long. His third favorite food seems to change every few weeks. It used to be banana flavored Gerber puffs; then actual bananas; next peanut butter toast; then cheese.

And now it's meatballs.

It's not like we eat meatballs on a frequent basis in our household (especially if I'm doing the cooking!). I don't actually know where he developed this craving. He makes me laugh though. For the last week when asked what he wants for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, his simple response is "meatballs." He looks so intently into my eyes and then chants "meatballs, meatballs." I tell him we don't have the ingredients to have meatballs for supper (or that we can't eat meatballs for breakfast) ... most of the time this will do. A few times he's responded with "cheesegurger?" I guess my boys like red meat!

JP was home with daddy today ... and can you guess what they ate for lunch? Meatballs smothered in "baba sauce" ... I definitely missed out.
