HAIR CUT #2

By 16 months, JP probably was on his 10th haircut ... but today AA only had her second.  It's much more of an "emotional" commitment to cut her hair ... both because I want to keep her girly locks long AND because I knew how much energy it would take to keep her still!  But, after seeing this "mop" for months, today we took the plunge.

I can't actually admit that her "trim" was even worth the price that we paid (and we're talking Great Clips pricing) ... but her little wispy ends do look much more healthy!  Thankfully, Daddy had the camera, so AA just sat still and posed!  She's a total girl!  JP delighted in eating her lollipop at the end!

MUSEUM

Despite an emotionally exhausting week, I marveled in our low key weekend.  For the first time in months, both A and I were home all day Saturday and Sunday.  The cold and rainy weather didn't dampen our spirits!  We visited the new Children's Museum in our city; a side branch of the St. Paul Children's Museum.  I have a feeling we'll be spending many rainy days here!

AA was enthralled with the "Counting Cookies" station,
and JP was thrilled to "build" a car
and watch it zoom down the tracks!

GIRL TOYS

After all the hours playing with
 planes, trains, and automobiles,
 AA finally convinced JP
to play with dolls.

BIRTHDAY

As birthdays become less and less of a big deal to me, birthdays become more and more of a big deal to kids. Perhaps that's how God intended it to be! Today seemed like just another day to me ... until my sweet JP came rushing into my bedroom and sang "Happy Biwrthday" in his cute little morning voice. He wanted to eat birthday cake immediately! A, JP, and AA came to visit me at work ... hand in hand with flowers, balloons, and plenty of chocolate faced kisses.
I'm one lucky Mamma!

HAPPY EASTER!

We were lucky enough to have family come to us this Easter holiday.
JP and AA are SPOILED with attention!
Life will be interesting when baby cousins come around ... (no, that's not a hint!).
We still have Easter eggs hiding in our home ... the whole inside egg hunt didn't go over so well. The kids were captivated by the things they could see, so trying to convince them to drop their baskets and look for eggs was too much!
I'm not sure who had more fun playing with the kitchen set ... AA or Aunt K!
And I wonder who had more fun flying the kite?

We are thankful for our many blessings this Easter.

EASTER PREP

Lots of things to do to get ready for Easter!
First, we need to color the eggs ...
(and our hands!).

Next, we need to attend the Easter egg hunt ...

and meet the Easter bunny (surprisingly, only AA wanted to take part in this step!)
And finally ... decorate cupcakes and cookies!

CONVERSATIONS

When life throws me emotional curveballs, it's my kids that keep me grounded. The little things they say and do bring a smile to my face each and every day.
Like today, when I came home from work.
Me: JP, how was your day with Daddy?
JP: Oh momma, Daddy and I went to the ship park and Addie was CRABBY five times!
